Tenement Jazz Band with Nicholas D. Ball

Kicking off the 2026 festival, Tenement Jazz Band are Edinburgh's finest young purveyors of early jazz. Known for their infectious energy and authentic New Orleans sound, they breathe new life into the joyful, foot-tapping sounds of the 1920s and 30s in the company of their special guest drummer Nicholas D. Ball. With Nick driving the band, this concert promises to be an inspiring journey through the red-hot roots of jazz, with scorching renditions of early recordings and fresh takes on some lesser-known tunes.
